# What You’ll Need:

→ Tortillas

01 - 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch diameter)

→ Pizza Filling

02 - 1 cup pizza sauce
03 - 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (6 oz)
04 - ½ cup sliced pepperoni or ½ cup sliced mushrooms for vegetarian option
05 - ½ cup chopped bell peppers
06 - ¼ cup sliced black olives
07 - ¼ cup chopped red onion
08 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
09 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder

→ Topping & Finishing

10 - Olive oil spray or 2 tablespoons olive oil for brushing
11 - ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
12 - Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

# Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 400°F or air fryer to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper if using oven method.
02 - Lay flour tortillas on a clean work surface. Spread 2-3 tablespoons of pizza sauce in the center of each tortilla, leaving a 1-inch border around edges.
03 - Divide mozzarella cheese evenly among tortillas. Top with pepperoni or mushrooms, bell peppers, olives, red onion, oregano, and garlic powder, distributing ingredients uniformly.
04 - Fold in the left and right edges of each tortilla toward the center. Starting from the bottom edge, roll up tightly burrito-style to completely enclose the filling.
05 - Lightly brush or spray the outside of each burrito with olive oil to promote even browning and crisping.
06 - Place burritos seam-side down on prepared baking sheet for oven method, or arrange in a single layer in air fryer basket without overcrowding.
07 - Oven method: Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy throughout. Air fryer method: Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping burritos halfway through cooking time, until exterior is crisp and filling is heated through.
08 - Remove from heat. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

# Expert Suggestions:

01 -
  • You get all the comfort of pizza without waiting for dough to rise or dealing with sticky flour everywhere
  • The oven gives them that golden crunch while the air fryer makes them ridiculously fast for weeknight dinners
02 -
  • Overfilling leads to bursting seams during baking, so resist the urge to stuff them like traditional burritos
  • Flipping halfway through in the air fryer prevents one side from staying too soft while the other burns
03 -
  • Warming the tortillas for 15 seconds in the microwave makes them more pliable and less likely to crack
  • Place the burritos seam side down and do not flip them in the oven to keep them sealed
